My Story
Hey, I’m Anne and the girl behind Heart Full Of Prints. Originally I’m from Chemnitz (Germany), but I landed near Hildesheim (also Germany) via detours. Since then, I have been studying at the HAWK Hildesheim for my Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and then my Master of Arts in Design.
I discovered the joy of drawing as a small child. Probably I had inherited it from my grandfather. But how did I come across the technique of linocut? Like many others, I got to know the linocut at school. I remember vaguely that I had already enjoyed it then. Years later I rediscovered this wonderful and yet often underestimated design technique by chance and fell in love with it again.
The combination of creative work and craftsmanship was what made me fall in love with it. Even if you sometimes need a lot of perseverance and above all patience, this analogue technique is the perfect balance to working on a computer screen. With every round of printing the tension rises to the finished print, because each one is unique and the result is unpredictable in its own way. Of course, the whole thing is also connected with a small portion of luck and this is exactly what makes this technique so appealing to me.
